Galicica - Ohrid

The best site near to my hometown Ohrid is the mountain Galicica. The starting area is on 1550masl. There are two popular landing places. One is near the village Trpejca with a huge landing area (ideal for beginners) at 830masl. The second is on the beach of the camping Ljubanista at 699masl.

Popova Sapka - Tetovo

Popova Sapka is a part of the mountain-ridge Sar Planina, which is expanding over the whole Polog Valley, where the two big cities, Tetovo and Gostivar, are placed. Popova Sapka is located at 1680m asl. An 18 km long asphalt road is leading you from Tetovo to Popova Sapka skiing center. To the take off, called antenna (antena), you can get by car or you walk for about 30 minutes. The infrastructure of the Polog Valley is ideal for XC flights, because you always fly near to civilization and regional roads. For more experienced it offers also XC flights up to 100 km. The landing area is near the fields of Tetovo at 450m asl.

Velestovo - Ohrid

Velestovo is a small village over Ohrid. The starting point is on 1050masl and landing area near the Ohrid lake on 700masl.

Tri Silka - Struga

Tri Silka is a flying site near the city of Struga. The take off lies very close to the Albanian border at about 1550masl.

Meckin Kamen - Krusevo

A very popular flying site in Macedonia. The main starting point is near Meckin Kamen at 1400masl. The landing area is huge at 600masl. Most of the Competitions are flown here.
